Hotel Almona - גרנדה

The Hotel Almona has an extremely convenient location, just 5 minutes from the Cathedral. I was pleased with the room and the facilities.

My room faced the street (in fact, there was a bar across the street), so it was noisy at night. I'd suggest asking for an inner room, or bring earplugs (they worked for me). If you're very concerned about air conditioning, you should know that the hotel seems to have a central system without individual room controls. The staff said that they would turn it on if I wished, but I didn't need it (as the clerk said, it was cool at night). The shortest route to the Cathedral takes you about a block and half down a somewhat rundown street, but I found it perfectly safe (and you could take a different route if you wished). All in all, I thought it was a very good value for the money.

Good location for city centre, car park 4 minutes walk away with reduced rate for hotel guests, reasonably priced.

Was told before arriving that could drive up to hotel to drop luggage off and than take car to car park nearby. This proved to be very stressful (and completly unnecessary as carpark is 4 minutes walk away) as the streets around the hotel are one way, very narrow, difficult to navigate even for a small car and you definately can't leave your car in front of the hotel even for 5 minutes as this results in completely blocking the road! Staff not particularly communicative (despite my best effort to speak a bit of Spanish). Would say area around hotel is generally ok, but wouldn't feel comfortable to walk on my own through the little streets at night.

Near to perfect location. Very close to the cathedral, was easy to find even late at night. Better than what i expected after i read the reviews.

Some staff did not speak english but we were able to communicate well, we learned what we needed to so that wasnt much of a problem...

It was really dirty hotel and I dont recommend it for even a single night stay. Staff was not even able to speak a single word in english which created alot of problems for us.There was very bad smell through out the hotel.

Quite central position, room cleanliness

Hard to find, difficult of parking in the area: needed to pay 12 eur/night in a public parking lot.

Soundproofing is bad (the same problem as in all cheap hotels, generally)

Friendly helpful manager, spoke very good English

I couldn't get the wifi to work.

The staff was very endeavored, friendly and even partly English- speaking. The room had a good size, was bright and clean. The hotel is well-located, about 5 minutes to walk to Jardin Botanico and the historic city centre. To Alhambra it is ~ 25-30min. To walk.

When I was there the door lock was not working properly, but you could lock it. There was a little trick to know how, but in total not a big thing.

Excellent location, very helpful staff and very good value for money. Enjoyed our stay!

Large and comfortable room. The staff was very good as well. The price is very very good!!!

This hotel has a good location in one of the older neighbourhoods of Granada (City centre). The hotel has excellent amenities and clean rooms, all in all a good experience. I would certainly come back any time at hotel Almona.

Friendly and serviceable staff. Helped me locate the places in the city I needed to go to and waited for me to arrive though I'd be arriving late.
